CREATURE OF HABIT:

© 1998 by Lydia Glider – Shelley
Verse 1:
He was a creature of habit, doin’ what he wanted to… And just like the white rabbit, always had a lot to do!
His telephone and his cable t.v. were where he spent most of his time:
But it wasn’t always like that, livin’ down to his last dime!
Climb:
When I met him he was well off…
And spread it all around!
You could always count on him…
When the chips were down!
Verse 2:
Sharing his passion for food with him was always such a delight!
He could really tell a story…while he savored every bite! Potato pancakes with sour cream, a Chinese buffet… Maybe bagels and nova, or some sushi today:
Chorus:
What do I want?! What do I want?! What do I want?!
I can still hear him say…
What do I want?! What do I want?!
He was a creature of habit, and we loved him that way!
Verse 3:
He used to travel to New York, California, and Thailand, as well:
Bringing back beautiful treasures, to give away and to sell.
Yes, he was a salesman, and a very good one, really:
He spent his life as a broker, of goods both serious and silly (repeat climb and chorus)
tag: he was a creature of habit, just a creature of habit… he was a creature of habit, and we loved him that way.
